Simply Extra

Indulge in the juicy, flavorful delight of Lake Burgers – a summer staple with a twist! Learn the secret to these mouthwatering, moist burgers!

Nothing says summer and grilling season like a flavorful, juicy burger. I like my burgers well seasoned and full of flavor. This recipe is my dad's famous Lake Burgers with my own twist on it. We call them Lake Burgers because if we went to the lake for the weekend, burgers were almost always on the menu. Anyone who came with us would rant and rave over these delicious burgers. I think you'll love them too!

The secret ingredient to our famous Lake Burgers is canned Italian tomatoes. Not only does it give them so much flavor but it also adds lots of moisture for a nice juicy burger. Just be sure to drain them well so your burgers aren't too watery. McCormick Steak Seasoning is the main spice in the burgers. I love to add a little Spicy McCormicks because as you know, I love spice. If you don't like your burgers spicy you can leave it out or replace with extra regular McCormick Seasoning.

Lake Burgers
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground meat (beef, turkey or deer)
14 oz can Italian diced tomatoes, drained well
1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp McCormick steak seasoning
1/2 tsp Mccormick spicy steak seasoning (or sub regular McCormicks)
2 Tbsp Worcestershire
Directions:
In a large bowl combine all ingredients. Shape burgers into patties. Grill or bake until cooked through.
Notes:
If using turkey or deer meat, add 1 egg to your mixture as a binding agent.
Be sure to drain your tomatoes well or you'll have too much liquid in your mixture.
If you don't like your burgers spicy, leave out the Spicy McCormick Seasoning or replace with regular McCormick Seasoning.
