Making a Simple Life Extra
Hey everyone, welcome to my blog! Let me introduce myself, my name is Whitney. I'm from the great state of Arkansas and currently live on a small piece of land with my husband, 2 daughters, ages 1 and 3, and an ever changing number of chickens. I am a dental hygienist that still practices as needed, however, I left my full time job when I had my second baby to be home more with my girls. They grow so fast and I strongly felt the need to be there for every second of it. While it has it's challenges, it's been the best decision for our family. I sure as heck "practice my paitence" a lot throughout the day.
Even though I grew up in a small town and live as a country girl now (I blame my husband for that one), I've always had a flair for being "extra." I've never done anything the "normal" way my entire life, and for that I am grateful. It's fun to be different! Even if you get some weird looks for being over the top from time to time who cares, you do you, am I right!? I love to cook, decorate, throw parties, dabble in some homesteading, make fun activities for my kids, do crafts, plan trips and travel, and even get out of my athleisure and dress up from time to time. I know what you're thinking, that all sounds like a pretty basic life and you're right! But if you let basic everyday things drag you down without being a little extra, it can get real boring. So join me as I share our life and maybe I can inspire you to add a little Extra to your Simple life!
