Simply Extra
I am all about repurposing containers for other uses, rather it be to store leftover food, meal prepping my overnight oats or salads, jars to store fresh fruit in (it lasts forever!), making my own beauty supplies and ointments or for my kids to play with. I've had some before I've removed the label to rub and scratch and wash and soak and all the things to still have a sticky mess on the outside. Then I discovered the wonders of lemon essential oil. It works so much better and faster than any of the store bought brands I've tried. It works on glass and plastic equally well. All you need is lemon essential oil and a cotton ball, so simple!
I love Revive essential oils! They're oils are 100% pure, free from any additives, adulterants, fillers, synthetics, or dilutions. They are a high quality oil at an affordable price. I usually buy mine from Amazon but Revive offers free shipping and returns when you buy directly from there website HERE. Go ahead and buy the big bottle, once you discover all the uses for lemon essential oil you'll be glad you did, plus it smells amazing and clean. You can thank me later.
Here's how it works: After removing as much of the label as you can, place a few drops of lemon essential oil on the sticky part left on the container. Rub with a cotton ball to coat all areas well. You'll immediately see it start to melt away. Repeat as needed until you've rubbed all parts well and don't see any sticky gunk remaining. If it's really on there you may need to rub the oil on a let it sit anywhere from 10-30 minutes before rubbing again. Use a paper towel or rag to wipe off excess. Wash in warm soapy water and be mesmerized by your new perfectly clean container. Watch the video below to see the magic happen and stop throwing out all those containers!
